The Black Angels

If you haven't checked out The Black Angels I suggest you do. They'll take you way waaay back, to some psychedelic corner of your mind that you didn't know existed. The cover of their latest release, 'Directions To See A Ghost', (below) should convey a preview of this phsycadelia.


The new album - 'Directions To See A Ghost' - is a little less accessible than than it's predecessor, 'Passover' (which I have on vinyl - it i still one of my favorite possessions), and is quite a lot more experimental. It took a few listens to grab me, and that grab occurred when I listened to the album when I wasn't in my normal state of mind. I think that's how The Black Angels meant for their music to be listened to.
