Because who doesn't heart the Ruby Suns???The loverly Mr Crawley is providing one double pass for the viewer who can come up with the BEST explanation for how 'The Ruby Suns' were named.

the ruby suns were named after a tragic smelting accident, in which all their family jewels were cast into dazzling sunlike gold. :)

Well, I heard the Ruby Suns came from the guitarist terrible romantic tragedy.
As a child his parent were friends with a neighboring family who ended up finding a Royal Ugandan connection and were welcomed into Ugandan elite society. The young musician had always been deeply in love with the youngest daughter of the now royal family, but knew he would now never be considered an equal match to the girls new family. After years of pining after the beautiful girl he frequently saw around the town, he was lucky enough to meet her, quite by chance, on the cliff top on the edge of the village looking over the ocean, feeling there was nothing to lose he confessed his eternal affections to her and waited for her reaction, hours seem to past before she looked up at him and smiled, she had always felt the same, but worried about what he thought about her families social climbing. He rushed forward to the cliff face as the sun went down over the coast they looked out upon. In his haste he stumbled, misjudged the force in which he went to wrap her in his arms, and unknowingly unbalanced her footing. In his embarrassment he recoiled from her body, and stepped away. As he did so, she struggled to reach for him, to stabilise herself. He was too far from her. She fell back and, too close to the edge, she plummeted to her death in the beautiful light of dusk.
The man has never since talked of the horrific guilt he carries with him, but started an awesome band in her honour.
Or that's what I heard anyway.
The were in Japan and everyone kept calling them 'san.' Amie was on an undercover mission ( she was running away from the cops with $10 million dollers) LOL. So she changed her name to Ruby whilst there. Ryan was her partner in crime...and they succeeded.
Now they call themselves 'The Ruby Suns.' Until today this has been a very "in" joke. Cover blown...now can i go?
